Gamestop, in collaboration with Southern Methodist University and the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, is holding a major contest for indie developers. Prizes include $100,000 each for the top Pro and Non-Pro entries. Other prizes are a trio of $2,500 awards in technical categories. Twelve finalists get a trip to the awards show held next February and a chance to pitch their game to several major publishers. All entrants will be considered for $50,000 graduate-level scholarships with SMU.
Contest runs from July 14 through October 1, 2009.
