bin_to_bytes, Error
In the script bin_to_bytes the variable out just 'appears' on the 4th last line and isn't initialized anywhere else.
Error?

Good catch. That "out" should say "str". I often use "out" for my return values, but I remember changing it at the last minute to match "str" used in it reciprocal function bytes_to_bin. I can't believe nobody spotted that in the 11 months it's been online.
